Over the last few months, we've been hard at work further developing the Unity Version of The Settlers Online, along with providing the usual annual events. However, we know that a lot of this work can go unnoticed, and we'd like to share with you an update on our current progress, our near-future goals, as well as some improvements we'd like to implement down the line.

Dear Settlers,

A game maintenance is scheduled for Wednesday! During this time, the game will be unavailable.

This hotfix will remove the incorrect access to the Event Buff (any buffs created before the event will be removed).

As you know, we are aware of the current situation and working hard on solutions. This includes not only issues with the live game, but also technical challenges that are more or less “behind-the-scenes” and invisible for you, but which solution is nonetheless very important to have a sustainable and successful future for The Settlers Online.

Many of you have repeatedly asked for a more in-depth communication of what we are working on and what you can expect for the next updates. We would like to meet that request with an update on many of the points the community has raised during the last days and weeks, over on our forums.

This update will deploy a hotfix to resolve some issues with Unity. We will also use this opportunity for database maintenance. A change log can be found here.

Dear Settlers,

Since the launch of the Unity Version, we've witnessed many of you comment on issues that have appeared since its implementation into the live game. We've been working diligently since then in trying to test, troubleshoot and find solutions for these issues.

As we study the issues further, we must reiterate how important your feedback and reports are: many of you have provided critical information which is going a long way in aiding us in resolving the aforementioned issues, and we welcome any more reports with accompanying data e.g. screenshots, error-messages, reproduction steps etc.

We apologize that some of you have had a negative experience with the Unity debut. Rest assured that we continue to work hard on improving things and solving issues for the next deployment in August.
